Late Home Run Sinks Tigers
The Detroit Tigers fell to the Boston Red Sox 7-5 on Tuesday night at Fenway Park. The Tigers led 5-2 heading into the bottom of the seventh inning, but a three-run home run by Red Sox designated hitter J.D. Martinez gave Boston the lead for good.
The Tigers had a chance to tie the game in the top of the ninth inning, but Miguel Cabrera grounded out to end the game with the bases loaded.
